It’s Your Water Posts #66

By: Denise Urbans

Our podcasts are informational and have an audience of water treatment professionals. Has It’s Your Water impacted sales? Yes, our business is growing but I can’t attribute all the growth to the podcast. It lends to our credibility and we have fun doing them. So why not?

The easiest part of doing a podcast is the interview. The real work begins after it’s recorded.

Here is the process:

  1. Choose a guest.
  2. Record the podcast.
  3. Send the podcast for mixing and editing. We use Resonate Recordings.
  4. Send it out for transcription.
  5. Use the transcription to highlight the necessary edits – remove the um’s & you knows.
  6. Send back to the transcription service to get it time stamped.
  7. Send time stamps back to Resonate Recordings for final edits.
  8. Create the show notes if it has good information to post on urbansaqua.com.
  9. Schedule the podcast and launch.
  10. Post the podcast to our Facebook & Instagram.

Finally, the hardest metric to improve is followers. If you listen, please follow our podcast!

It’s a lot of work but we enjoy doing it.
